Description

The University of Nottingham is a pioneering institution providing an exceptional research-led education and an outstanding experience for 46,000 students from more than 150 countries. Built on the ethos that education can unlock potential and transform lives, we feature in the top 20 of all three major UK university rankings, and our graduates are among the most sought-after in the UK.

As the 5th largest estate in the sector, we are proud of our award-winning campuses, both at home and abroad, and continually invest in the University's grounds, buildings, and facilities. Developing and managing the University's environment is at the heart of our values, ensuring that the student experience and environmental sustainability remain firmly on the University's agenda.

We are seeking a Director of Estate Masterplanning to lead the development and delivery of a new estate strategy and masterplan aimed at transforming the University of Nottingham estate into one that is more efficient, more environmentally and financially sustainable, and which better supports the needs of everyone that lives, works and studies here.

Reporting to the Director of Estates and Facilities, and as a key member of the Estates Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will lead our new ‘Reshaping our Estate’ programme which sits within a wider portfolio of University of Nottingham strategic investment programmes and will guide our future estate development.

The post holder may be in a similar role now, or looking to step up, within a complex public sector of commercial setting. Experience of matching an estate to an organisation’s needs and the ability to engage and enthuse stakeholders through a period of transformation is essential.
